Mumbai police have made security arrangements in front of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s residence in suburban Khar and his bungalow-office in Bandra, an official said Thursday.

The actress has also been exempted by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) from the 14-day home quarantine rule for those arriving from out of state.

Previously, the “Reina” actress had already received Y-plus security coverage from the Center in the wake of a dispute over her comments in which she compared Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and criticized the police. from the city.

Shiv Sena has criticized her for her statements.

Ranaut returned to Mumbai from his home state of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, hours after the Seine-governed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished “illegal alterations” to his Bandra bungalow.

“A police van with officers has been deployed outside their residence in Khar to address any adverse incidents. Policewomen are also part of the team,” the official said.

“Also, outside his Pali Hill bungalow, which was partially demolished yesterday by the civic body, similar security arrangements have been made,” he said.

According to sources, the actress is likely to visit her Pali Hill property on Thursday.

Upon his return to Mumbai, he had criticized Maharashtra’s chief minister and Shiv Sena chairman Uddhav Thackeray, saying that his “ego will be destroyed” by the way his house in Bandra was demolished.

Quarantine:

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) exempted Kangana from the 14-day home quarantine rule for those arriving from out of state, an official said.

Ranaut, currently in the news due to controversy over his comment comparing Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir and BMC’s demolition of ‘illegal’ structures in his bungalow, arrived here earlier in the day.

A senior BMC official said he had submitted an online application for the home quarantine exemption while on a short visit.

“Since she is staying here for less than a week, she was exempted under the ‘short-term visitor category,'” the officer told PTI.

According to BMC officials, Ranaut is scheduled to leave Mumbai on September 14. PTI
