Mumbai:
Kangana Ranaut, furious after flying to Mumbai today, struck back at Shiv Sena and his leaders, including Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, for demolishing part of his office in Mumbai on illegal construction charges. She also criticized filmmaker Karan Johar, tying him to what she called the “Karan Johar gang” in a storm of tweets asking people to “wake up now.”
“Today they have demolished my house. Tomorrow it will be yours. Governments come and go. When the violent suppression of a voice is normalized, it becomes the norm. Today a person is burned at the stake. Tomorrow there will be thousands of thousands, wake up now, “Ms. Ranaut tweeted, along with videos of part of her office being demolished by the nation’s richest civic agency, BMC.

Karan Johar was one of the Bollywood personalities who was persecuted in the days following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on allegations that some people in the entertainment sector cheered only on the sons and daughters of established actors, leading to a heated debate on nepotism.
Ms. Ranaut’s coup against Karan Johar, known in the industry as KJo, in the same tweet that also targeted Shiv Sena’s leaders, was seen as reinforcing allegations that some politicians and big names in Bollywood protect the interests of others.
Videos tweeted by the actor show plywood, glass and concrete strewn in the destroyed rooms of what used to be his office. Some of the walls were intact with light blue paint still unscratched by the tools of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, led by Shiv Sena.

“Come Udhav Thakeray and Karan Johar Gang. You broke my workplace. Come break my house, then break my face and body. I want the world to see clearly what you guys do anyway. Whether I live or die, I’ll expose them independently, “Ms. Ranaut tweeted.

“My office was suddenly outlawed in the last 24 hours. They have destroyed everything inside, including furniture and lights, and now I receive threats that they will come to my house and break it down as well. Glad for my opinion on the favorite movie The best CM in the world was right, “Ms Ranaut tweeted at a dig in Uddhav Thackeray.
The situation escalated dramatically last week after Ms Ranaut said she was afraid of living in Mumbai, after which Shiv Sena leaders, including Sanjay Raut, told her that she should move out of the country’s entertainment and financial capital. . She then retorted that “Mumbai feels like PoK,” short for Pakistani-occupied Kashmir, a comment she repeated today.
The BMC had listed 14 “rapes” at Manikarnika Films, Ms. Ranaut’s film production house in Khar, West Mumbai. Demolition work was halted midway today by an order from the Bombay High Court after she challenged the BMC notice.
The timing of the BMC’s move against the actor has raised doubts. Sharad Pawar, whose Nationalist Congress Party is part of the ruling Maharashtra alliance, has said the timing of the demolition was unfortunate and only generated “unnecessary publicity” for Kangana Ranaut.
