Rhea’s attorney, Satish Maneshinde, stated in the bond statement that the 28-year-old actress is “innocent” and “has been falsely implicated in the case.” He added: “She has not committed any crime.”

The session court is ready to take the bail application for tomorrow’s hearing.

Times now meanwhile, he has agreed to the full bail request in which the attorney claims on Rhea’s behalf that the NCB is fabricating a false narrative in the case.

The attorney goes on to state in the bond statement that the actress was forced to give her statement and that everything Rhea has said before the NCB during questioning has been said under duress.

The NCB arrested Rhea yesterday after questioning her for three consecutive days. Later she was sent to judicial custody until September 22 by the court of first instance.

Rhea was taken to Byculla Jail in South Mumbai today from the NCB office.

Other defendants in the drug case who have been arrested by the NCB, including Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, his personal employee Dipesh Sawant, and suspected drug traffickers Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar, were sent today to 14-day judicial custody by the court of sessions, according to the special prosecutor Atul Sarpande.

Showik Chakraborty and Sawant have also submitted requests for bail and the court of sessions will also address them tomorrow.
