New Delhi: Minutes after actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on Tuesday in a drug case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, social media was flooded with a quote about “crushing the patriarchy” and #JusticeForRhea began to be trend simultaneously.

Celebrities like Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Shibani Dandekar, Dia Mirza and several others took to social media to share the quote, something that was written on the shirt that Rhea wore on Tuesday as it appeared before. . the Narcotics Control Office (NCB) on the third day of interrogation, hours after which she was arrested.

“Roses are red, violets are blue, let’s destroy the patriarchy, you and me,” was the message written on Rhea’s shirt. It found an echo in Bollywood with celebrities who shared the quote on their respective Instagram ids and some also sought justice for it.

Rhea Chakraborty was in a relationship with Sushant. The 34-year-old actor was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14.

She has also been charged with complicity in suicide in connection with Sushant’s death that is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and a related money laundering case that is being investigated by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED).

Sushant’s father, KK Singh, accused Rhea Chakraborty of being an accessory to his son’s suicide and also claimed that he diverted 15 million rupees from the actor’s bank accounts. The emergency department launched an investigation into this aspect.

Meanwhile, the NCB launched an investigation after Rhea’s phone conversations revealed a connection to drugs in the case. The NCB also arrested her brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant’s close associates Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant.

Rhea has been referred to judicial custody 14 days from now.
