Actress Kangana Ranaut will return to Mumbai today from her hometown in Himachal Pradesh. The actress is at the center of a heated political dispute with Maharashtra’s ruler Shiv Sena and his coalition partners over his comment on Mumbai compared to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Amid these developments, officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) posted a notice Tuesday at Ranaut’s Pali Hill office, noting many alterations made to the building without civic body approval, a claim rejected by it. . Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday condemned the comments made by Kangana Ranaut, saying they amounted to an “insult” to the police force.
Kangana Ranaut had said that he feared the Mumbai police more than the “movie mafia” and preferred the safety of Himachal Pradesh or the Center.
The opposition leader said he was aware of the capabilities of the Mumbai police, having served as the state’s chief minister for five years. “But the police can come under political pressure,” Fadnavis said.
