Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 100th international goal for Portugal with an impressive free kick against Sweden

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 100th international goal for Portugal.

The Juventus star brought out his century when he gave Euro 2016 winners the lead in the first half of their Nations League match against Sweden.

Ronaldo recovered from a toe infection to make the game and, in true Ronaldo fashion, he scored a brilliant free throw to go up 100.

It is a simply incredible achievement that makes Ronaldo the second male player to score 100 international goals.

He is now even closer to breaking Ali Daei’s record of 109 goals for Iran.

Take a look at Ronaldo’s 100th goal for Portugal here.

What a way to raise your 100th international goal.

Ronaldo missed a chance to go 100 when he missed Portugal’s win over Croatia on Saturday with a toe infection that manager Fernando Santos likened to a bee sting.

“He had been training well, and suddenly on Wednesday one of his fingers turned red, like it had been stung by a bee,” Santos said, according to Goal.

“Now we have to wait. With an infection, it is not known how long the recovery will take.”

Ronaldo ended up watching the match from the stands, which Portugal won 4-1.

In a comical moment during the match, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was asked to don the mask.

Not even Ronaldo is above the law of masks.

Fortunately, he managed to return for the Sweden game and made it a night to remember with his historic goal.

Congratulations, Cristiano.
