The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation issued a notice to actor Kangana Ranaut for alleged illegal construction at his office on Pali Hill in Bandra West. On Tuesday morning, a team of BMC officers from the H-west (Bandra) district visited Ranaut’s office on Pali Hill in Bandra West to deliver the notice. The BMC has given the actor 24 hours to file a response with documentary evidence.
“We have sent a notice to Ranaut to present documentary evidence and permits on illegal construction. If you did not submit a response within 24 hours, we will initiate the action to demolish the illegal extensions, ”said Vinayak Vispute, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, H-west district (Bandra west).
According to the notice, the ongoing renovation and finishing work was found unauthorized inside the bungalow. Some of the alleged illegal construction works include the conversion of a ground floor bathroom into an office, the construction of a kitchen inside the warehouse, new bathrooms have been built near the warehouse, the conversion of the balcony into a living area, the merging one bungalow with another and expanding. of the third floor. Ranaut had purchased this bungalow in 2017 and renovated it in January of this year. According to authorities, Ranaut’s office is listed as residential property on their records.

In reaction to the notice, Ranaut tweeted: “Due to criticism @mybmc received from my friends on social media, they did not come with a bulldozer today, but instead put up a notice to stop the leak work being done in the office friends. Meanwhile, in a new move, the BMC also filed a response in the Dindoshi Court to overturn the order suspending the demolition notice given to Ranaut for illegal construction of his home on Khar Road. In 2018, the BMC had issued demolition notices to the actor under the MR&TP act for unauthorized construction that exceeded the FSI. However, the Dindoshi Court suspended the notice after Ranaut challenged it. The official said that once the ranch is vacated, we will begin the demolition. Previously, a BMC team had visited the actor’s bungalow to verify the illegal construction on Monday.
