Delhi Metro services continued on the Yellow Line on Tuesday with the number of passengers on the morning shift, between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., touching 8,300 passengers compared to 7,500 on Monday, the first day after resume services.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said: “Passengers who traveled on the Yellow Line between 7 am and 11 am were almost 8,300. Operations went smoothly. “
Senior DMRC officials said that since more people were aware of the opening now, the number of riders saw an increase, but this was anticipated and the Metro system was ready for it.
On Monday, the first day the Delhi Metro resumed services after a 169-day outage due to the Covid-19 lockdown, 7,500 passengers traveled on the metro between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., while almost 8,000 passengers they took the yellow line between 4 pm and 8:30 pm
The Metro will open its operations in a staggered manner and on Wednesday services to the Blue and Magenta lines will also resume.
