The interior minister said Tuesday that Kangana’s alleged drug ties would be investigated based on an old interview with her ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman, in which he said she persuaded him to use cocaine. Earlier, Shiv Sena leaders Sunil Prabhu and Pratap Sarnaik had submitted copies of Adhyayan’s interview to the government and demanded an investigation into the accusations against Kangana.
In the interview, which is from 2016, Adhyayan said that she had a big fight with Kangana after she refused to use cocaine at her birthday party in 2008. “On her birthday in March 2008 at The Leela, she had invited everyone I had worked with. She said, ‘We’re going to do cocaine at night.’ I had smoked hash with her a couple of times before and I didn’t like it so I said no. I remember getting into the biggest discussion that night because I said no to cocaine, ”Adhyayan had told DNA.

Recently, Kangana claimed that 99% of Bollywood is dedicated to drug use. Several Bollywood stars, including Raveena Tandon, objected to this generalization of the industry, saying that like any profession, the film industry also has a mix of good and bad people.
The Producers Guild of India, in an open letter, objected to the description of the film industry as “a dark den of substance abuse and criminality.” “Like any other sector, there is no question that the film industry has its flaws, and there must always be a continuous attempt by any industry to improve itself, learn and evolve, while eliminating the unpleasant elements or inappropriate practices that hold it back. . But painting an entire industry with the same brush is a gross misrepresentation of reality, ”wrote the producers association in the letter.
Meanwhile, Kangana has been involved in a confrontation with the Maharashtra government after she compared Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir and called the Mumbai police a ‘sham’.
