The Arunachal Pradesh government had launched a ground investigation into Nacho’s circle in Upper Subansiri district, the home of the five youths, to verify messages on social media from their relatives about their “kidnapping.”
The five youths had gone to the border area and two of their friends, who managed to return home, told the villagers that the five had been kidnapped in the Sera-7 area, an Army patrol area located on the border.
On Friday, a Prakash Ringling, brother of one of the five youths, said in a Facebook post that his brother Prasad and four others had been “kidnapped” from Sera by the “Chinese PLA.”
The other four are Tanu Bakar, Ngaru Diri, Dongtu Ebiya, and Toch Singkam.
Pasighat Ninong Ering’s MLA Congress and Bharatiya Janata Tapir Gao party deputy soon shared Ringling’s message on social media.
