Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI to seek legal opinion on Rhea Chakraborty FIR; will record another FIR to probe a new angle if necessary | Hindi Movie News

In a major twist in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Mumbai police searched Rhea Chakraborty’s FIR against the late actor’s sisters Priyanka Singh and Meetu Singh, Delhi doctor Tarun Kumar and others.

The case was reportedly registered under the sections of the IPC and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) and the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai, an official said in a statement.

However, in accordance with Supreme Court orders, the case has been transferred to CBI for further investigation.

Now, according to the latest Times Now report, the Central Bureau of Investigation Special Investigation Team is ready to seek a legal opinion on Rhea’s FIR and if necessary, the team will record the FIR and also investigate this angle. The CBI is reportedly awaiting instructions from the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), after which, they will again ask their legal team, the Department of Legal Prosecution, if they will have to re-register the FIR.

According to the news channel, Rhea may need to re-register the matter with the CBI.

In reaction to the latest update, Sushant’s sister used her Twitter username to say, “Nothing is going to break us, definitely not this fake FIR!”

In a six-page complaint filed Monday night, Rhea cited that Sushant passed away five days after she obtained a prescription in which her sister Priyanka illegally prescribed certain medications.

Rhea was at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai for almost six and a half hours and filed the complaint there. The case has been registered under the sections of the IPC and the Law on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS).

Vikas Singh, a lawyer for Sushant Singh Rajput’s family said on Monday that if the police accept Rhea’s complaint, the matter will be taken to the Supreme Court.

“I have been presented with a complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty at Bandra Police Station. It is an effort to maintain the jurisdiction of the Mumbai Police in this matter when SC said that the complaints regarding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput will be investigated by CBI It is a clear attempt to keep the Mumbai Police active in some way in this matter so that they can do some mischief and ensure that Sushant’s family does not receive justice in this matter, “Singh said at a press conference.

“This is a clear attempt to divert people’s minds and derail the investigation. The family was unaware of this drug-intensive angle. If the Bandra police accept the complaint, it will be a violation of the court order. Supreme Court and therefore contempt of court. If the Bandra police proceed with that, we will take the matter to the Supreme Court for contempt of court, “he added.
