Badminton star Jwala Gutta got engaged to Tamil actor and producer Vishnu Vishal on his 37th birthday on Sunday. He took to Twitter to announce the development on Monday. “This happened last night and what a beautiful surprise it was!” she wrote. “Today, when I think about my life, what a journey it has been in 2 days, I realize that there is much more to look forward to!” she added. “To our family, Aryans, friends and work! It’s going to be another great trip, I’m sure,” concluded her tweet, which also included photos of the happy couple.

Aryan is Vishal’s son from his previous marriage to actor Rajini Natraj. Jwala Gutta was also previously married to fellow badminton player Chetan Anand from 2005 to 2011.
Gutta and Vishal had confirmed their relationship about two years ago.
