Sushant Singh Rajput Death: 2 Defendants Arrested In Drug Case, Retraction Statement, Says NCB Forcibly Taped It

The two defendants arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating the angle of drugs in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, have retracted their statements given to the agency, said the authorities.

The OCN had claimed that Zaid Vilatra and Abdul Basit Parihar, residents of Bandra in Mumbai, supplied marijuana to Rajput house manager Samuel Miranda and domestic helper Dipesh Sawant.

The agency had arrested Showik, the brother of the first defendant Rhea Chakraborty, based on the statements of these two defendants. Both Vilatra and Parihar have claimed that their statements were vigorously recorded by OCN officials.

The NCB had claimed that Parihar, the alleged drug dealer, had told them that he acquired drugs from Vilatra and Ebrahim, following Showik’s instructions. She also claimed that Showik told her to give Miranda drugs. NCB officials had also said that Showik’s phone messages include one asking Miranda to pay Vilatra 10,000 rupees for 5 g of “cogollo”, a cured form of marijuana.

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty was questioned again by the OCN on Monday. She arrived at the agency’s office in South Mumbai at 9.30am on Monday.

Chakraborty was interrogated for nearly six hours on Sunday.
