On Sushant’s autopsy, Cooper’s doctors and Mumbai police will be questioned by MSHRC ‘dissatisfied’

The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) on Monday requested a detailed report from Cooper Hospital and Mumbai police in relation to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This comes after MSHRC sent a tip to Cooper Hospital and Mumbai police for allowing actress Rhea Chakraborty to enter the hospital morgue and seek details of the regulation that allowed her.

Sources said Mumbai police officers did not appear before the commission last time because they were positive for Covid. Dean of Cooper Hospital went to an attorney and denied that Rhea was admitted to the morgue. However, the commission is not satisfied with the hospital’s responses and requested a detailed report. About 12 police officers and Cooper Hospital staff will visit the office of the State Human Rights Commission later in the day, sources said.

CBI will question Cooper Hospital doctors

Meanwhile, on Sunday, leading sources reported that Cooper Hospital doctors involved in Sushant Singh Rajput’s autopsy will also be questioned by the Central Intelligence Office. The CBI will question doctors about the ‘marks’ on Sushant’s body and the nature of the ‘cloth’ found at the crime scene, to understand if that can cause such aberrations.

Sources suggest that the AIIMS team would also be present during the interrogation. Additionally, the CBI team along with forensic experts from AIIMS visited Sushant’s residence to recreate the June 14 scene and returned with a strong line of questioning for lead witness Sandip Ssingh. According to sources, the CBI is in stage 3 of the investigation to solve the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sandip Ssingh on his ‘thumbs up gesture’

Sushant Singh Rajput’s self-proclaimed ‘close friend’ Sandip Ssingh, whose active role in orchestrating events in the immediate aftermath of the late actor’s death had raised suspicions on Monday, defended his claim on why he did not meet Sushant during the last year. Sandip, who emerged after a significant period of time to speak quite copiously to the media, said that Sushant was busy with Chhichhore and other projects, while he was busy with the Modi biopic and its promotion. “What is the logic that I was not in contact with him?” he asked while speaking to the ANI news agency.

Sandeep Singh also clarified about his “thumbs-up gesture” that he was seen giving to a policeman outside the hospital where Sushant Singh’s body was taken, leading to allegations of foul play against him from various quarters. “When I arrived at Cooper Hospital with Meetu didi (Sushant’s sister), an agent asked: Who is Sandip Ssingh? To which, instead of yelling or taking off my mask, I showed my thumbs up to tell him that I was the one person. Me? Should I have worried about my gesture while supporting a family? “he said.
