Tata Nexon overtook the Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, and Honda WR-V in August 2020 as it finished third on the compact SUV sales charts.

The Nexon is powered by BSVI-compliant 1.2-liter Revotron gasoline and 1.5-liter Revotorq diesel engines. The three-cylinder petrol unit generates a maximum power of 120hp and a maximum torque of 170Nm, as the power has been increased by 10hp upon receiving BSVI compliance. The oil burner, on the other hand, continues to deliver 110 PS & 260 Nm.
Both are paired with a six-speed manual or six-speed AMT, while a DCT is said to be in the works and is more likely to be at the top of the range. The recently launched XM (S) trim offers the most affordable power moonroof in the Nexon lineup.
