Rhea Chakraborty has been charged with harassment by the family of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has been summoned by the Bureau of Narcotics Control or NCB, which is investigating the angle of drugs in the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput. She has been asked to join the investigation today, two days after the NCB detained her brother Showik. Investigative agency officials arrived at her Mumbai home this morning to serve the summons.
On Saturday, the NCB said Showik Chakraborty “will face his sister,” Rhea after the drug investigation agency received his custody until Sept. 9. Chakraborty has “given so many names that she was dealing drugs with,” the NCB said in its return request.
“There are specific roles / ingredients of criminal conspiracy, complicity and various attempts to commit crimes,” the NCB told a Mumbai court on Saturday afternoon, adding that “the financial trail of all previous drug purchase transactions must to be verified”.
Rhea Chakraborty, her family and others are on allegations from Sushant Singh Rajput’s family that she mentally harassed the actor and had a role in his death. The NCB raided her Mumbai home on Friday morning; her brother was arrested that same night.
The drug investigation began after WhatsApp chats retrieved from Rhea Chakraborty’s phone revealed an alleged conversation about acquiring drugs between her and a contact saved as “Miranda Sushi,” who is believed to be the manager of Rhea’s home. Sushant Singh Rajput, Samuel Miranda, who was also arrested by the NCB on Friday.
The NCB began investigating the case that began with the seizure of 158g of cannabis on August 28.
Indrajit Chakraborty, Rhea Chakraborty’s father, issued a statement on Saturday condemning the arrest of his 24-year-old son.
“Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I’m sure my daughter is next in line and I don’t know who will be next. You have effectively demolished a middle class family. But of course, for the sake of the Justice”. everything is justified. Jai hind, ”said the statement from Lieutenant Colonel Indrajit Chakraborty (Retd), who has also been questioned by the CBI for days.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra home in Mumbai on June 14; he was 34 years old. Mumbai police had said at the time that he died by suicide.
The case has sparked a major political dispute since then. It also sparked a debate about mental health issues.
