The increase in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai in the past two days shows that the state administration will face the challenge of containing the outbreak more vigorously in the next two to three months, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav said on Saturday. Thackeray.

“When the number of daily cases was between 1000-1100, we felt that we were at the peak of the spread of the virus. But in the last two days, the daily peak is between 1700-1900. Therefore, the next three months are a challenge and we have to address it effectively, “he said.
Uddhav Thackeray said that 5000-6000 more beds can be arranged in Mumbai and that the administration has to plan the oxygen and ICU facilities.
The chief minister said the government will issue directives for increased oxygen production in the state for medical use in light of the outbreak.
“He said that tracking, tracing and testing 30 patient contacts in a 48 hour period is extremely necessary. Some side effects have been seen in people who have recovered. We need to check if the side effects are due to aggressive medications or COVID-19 “Thackeray said.
