Dia Mirza has criticized Shiv Sena’s leader Sanjay Raut for using the word ‘haramkhor’ for actor Kangana Ranaut while expressing his anger at her. The actor said he must “apologize for using such language.”
He took to Twitter to express his disappointment in reaction to a viral video showing Raut criticizing Kangana for “disrespecting Maharashtra and Shivaji Maharaj.” Dia tweeted: “Strongly condemn the word ‘haramkhor’ used by @ rautsanjay61. Sir, you have every right to express your displeasure at what Kangana has said, but you must apologize for using such language. “

Speaking about the trend of abusing women on social media and otherwise, Dia further wrote in another tweet: “The last few months have seen an unprecedented increase in name calling and personal abuse. It is something that undermines all efforts made to build a safe and equal society for women. Unfortunately, many women are also perpetuating this culture. This must end. Let’s be together! “

Earlier on Saturday, Kangana had reacted to a Twitter user who claimed that the Queen actor had not insulted Shivaji and had yelled at the “freedom of expression warriors” for not speaking up for her.
In reaction to the tweet, Kangana had written from her team account: “In 2008 Movie Mafia declared me a psychopath, in 2016 they called me Witch and Stalker in 2020 Maharashtra The Minister’s publicity gave me the title of Haramkhor Ladki, because I said after a murder I feel unsafe in Mumbai, where are the warriors of the INTOLERANCE debate? “
