The Railway Contracting Board has been announced, the RRB Exam Dates for the RRB NTPC and RRB Group D Exams 2019. The Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, has announced the same on his social networks retweeting the announcement of the president of RRB, Vinod Dua. According to their announcement, the RRB NTPC and Group D CBT exams would begin on December 15, 2020. The exact schedule would be published later.

The 2019 RRB NTPC and RRB Group D (Level 1) 2019 exams were scheduled to take place in June and July 2019. This was delayed after some concerns were found regarding the exam centers. Up to 2.40 crore candidates had applied for the RRB NTPC and Group D exams. Up to 1.40 lakh positions would be filled through this position.

When confirming the dates, the Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, has once again tweeted the message of the president of RRB, Vinod Dua. Dua shared that the RRBs received requests for 2.42 million rupees for the 1.40 lakh vacancies on the railways. The scrutiny of all these requests was completed earlier this year, but could not be conducted due to the COVID19 pandemic.

In addition, he has stated that given the current situation, Railways would now begin taking the Computer-Based Test or CBT for the RRB NTPC and RRB Group D Level 1 exam. The full schedule, he said, would be announced very soon. Check the message above.

About RRB NTPC, Group D Exams 2019

In February and March 2019, Indian Railways announced several hires in different categories. RRB NTPC or Non-Technical Popular Category Recruitment was also announced under RRB CEN 01/2019. A total of 10,628 positions were advertised for Class 12 graduates and another 24,649 positions for graduates in this category. The CRRs also announced the hiring of more than 1 lakh of positions in the Tier 1 or Group D category for candidates.

Indian Railways received up to 2.42 million applications for these two categories combined. Another 1,000 positions were also announced for the Ministerial and Isolated categories under the CEN 03/2019 framework. The exams for these will also take place from December 15th.
