Showik sent to NCB custody, to be confronted with Rhea Chakraborty tomorrow


Actor Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput’s home manager Samuel Miranda were sent into the custody of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday until September 9. According to the NCB, Showik will face her sister, who will be summoned for questioning in September. 6.

“We will ask her (actress Rhea Chakraborty) to join the investigation,” said Mutha Ashok Jain, deputy general manager of NCB’s Southwest Region.

Chakraborty and Miranda were arrested under the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) on Friday.

Kaizen Ebrahim, also detained by the NCB on Friday, was released on bail by the Mumbai Esplanade court after being sent 14 days of judicial custody today.

On Friday morning, NCB teams searched the residences of Showik Chakraborty in the Santa Cruz area (west) and Samuel Miranda in the suburban area of ​​Andheri (west), the PTI news agency reported.

The NCB launched an investigation after receiving a communication from the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), in which there were talks related to the consumption, acquisition, use and transport of drugs in connection with the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput .

On July 31, the Emergency Department had registered a case for the death of the late actor after Rajput’s father, KK Singh, filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28.

Rhea is the main defendant in the 34-year-old actor’s death case. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges and the NCB.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.
