The National Law School of the University of India (NLSIU), Bangalore, decided on Thursday not to consider the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admissions to the five-year integrated BA LL.B (Hons) course for the year academic 2020-21. A notice about this decision has been posted on the official varsity website.

“The University will not accept 2020 CLAT scores for admission to the 2020-21 academic year,” the notice reads.

The varsity team decided to take the 2020 National Law Aptitude Test on September 12, 2020. The exam will be conducted in an online mode.

The decision has been made due to the repeated postponement of the 2020 CLAT exam. “If NLSIU is unable to complete admissions before the end of September 2020, it will inevitably result in a ‘Year Zero’ with no admission,” the notice says.

The online registration process began on Thursday, September 3, 2020 and will end on September 10, 2020.

Candidates belonging to the general category must pay an application fee of Rs 150, while SC / ST candidates must pay Rs 125 as a registration fee.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Candidates must have achieved an aggregate percentage of 45% or its equivalent score for General Category and PWD students on the class 12 exam.

2. Candidates must have achieved an aggregate percentage of 40% or its equivalent score in the case of SC / ST on the class 12 exam.
