Realme introduced Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro six months ago, and today, the company announced their successors, named Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro, respectively. These come with improved cameras, bigger batteries, and faster charging. The couple’s panel also flaunts a new design, which Realme says is inspired by the mirror space in nature.
Realme 7 Pro
Let’s talk about the Realme 7 Pro first. It’s powered by the same Snapdragon 720G SoC found in the 6 Pro, but it brings some solid improvements over its predecessor in a few other departments.
The largest is the 65W SuperDart load, which is currently only available on some of the company’s more premium X-series models. Realme claims that it can fill the 7 Pro’s 4,500 mAh battery from 100% empty in 34 minutes.
Unlike the 6 Pro which has a 6.6 “LCD screen, the 7 Pro comes with a Super AMOLED panel. It is a bit smaller at 6.4”, but that should make the 7 Pro more compact and easier to hold. The screen resolution is FullHD +, but the refresh rate has been lowered from 90Hz to 60Hz. Realme tells us that this decision was made taking into account feedback from its customers, who preferred a 60Hz AMOLED screen to a 90Hz LCD panel. As an added bonus, we get an always-on display and an in-display fingerprint scanner on the 7 Pro rather than the side that came with its predecessor.

The Realme 6 Pro came with a total of six cameras, two in the front and four in the rear. The 7 Pro has one less as the company dropped the 8MP ultra-wide-angle front unit, but replaced the 16MP main selfie camera on the 6 Pro with 32MP on the 7 Pro.
There are also some changes to the quad camera setup on the back. Realme has ditched the 12MP telephoto unit in favor of a 2MP depth sensor, and while it retained the ultrawide 8MP and 2MP macro units, the main camera now uses Sony’s newest 64MP IMX682 sensor.
The Realme 7 Pro, like the 6 Pro, comes with Dolby Atmos, but this time it comes with stereo speakers; that’s another feature that leaked from the more premium Realme smartphones to the number series.
Other highlights of the Realme 7 Pro include a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dedicated microSD card slot, NavIC, and dual-frequency GPS support. The smartphone is splash-proof and passed TUV Rheinland’s smartphone reliability verification tests.
The Realme 7 Pro boots the Android 10-based Realme UI, comes in Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver colors, and has two memory configurations: 6GB / 128GB and 8GB / 128GB. Prices start at INR 19,999 (€ 230 / $ 270) and the most expensive version costs INR 21,999 (€ 255 / $ 300). The first sale will take place in India on September 14 on the Realme and Flipkart website.

The Realme 7 is built around the same 6.5 “FullHD + 90Hz LCD screen as its predecessor and is the world’s first smartphone to have the newly announced Helio G95 SoC at the helm, which is an upgrade from the Realme 6 G90T.
The battery capacity has increased from 4,300 mAh to 5,000 mAh, but it still charges at 30W. Realme claims the 30 watt dart charger can fill the cell flat to 100% in 65 minutes, which is still pretty good.
Like the 7 Pro, the vanilla 7 also has a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor, but the rest of the setup remains the same as the 6 Pro – there’s a 16MP selfie shooter on the front and the main camera. on the back it is joined by an 8MP one. 2MP and 2MP macro, ultra-wide depth sensor modules.
But, like the Pro model, the Realme 7 also gets the starry mode and can switch between AI mode and pro mode in 64MP mode and night mode. However, these features will not be available in Realme 7 out of the box and will be implemented via an OTA.
The rest of the highlights of the Realme 7 include a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, Android 10-based Realme UI, side-mount fingerprint scanner, a dedicated microSD card slot, up to 128GB of storage and two RAM options: 6GB and 8GB. The smartphone is splash-proof too, but like the Pro, it lacks an official IP rating.
The 6GB / 64GB variant of the Realme 7 is priced at INR 14,999 (€ 170 / $ 205) and there will be an 8GB / 128GB model priced at INR 16,999 (€ 195 / $ 230). Both are offered in Mist White and Mist Blue colors and will go on sale starting September 10 via Flipkart and the official Indian site of Realme.
