The Redmi headphones were launched in India as Xiaomi’s latest audio offering. The wired headphones come with a stylish design and an aluminum alloy body. The headphones were launched alongside the Redmi 9A, the company’s newest pocket smartphone offering, at a virtual event. Redmi’s audio lineup already has a number of true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones on offer, including the Redmi AirDots 2 that launched in July.
Redmi Earphones price in India, availability
The Redmi headphones are priced in India at Rs. 399. Customers can choose from three color options: red, black, and blue. The headphones will be available for purchase on Amazon, Flipkart, Mi.com, and offline retail stores starting September 7.

The Redmi headphones feature an aluminum alloy sound chamber that houses a 10mm dynamic driver. The company claims that the sound unit driver delivers clear vocals, dynamic bass, and refined highs. The main body of the headphones is also made of the same material, which increases the premium feel and light weight of the device. The headphones are said to weigh only 13 grams.
Ergonomically angled to comfortably fit the user’s ear canals, Redmi earphones come with anti-wax silicone mesh earplugs that are designed to keep sweat, moisture, or earwax from hampering sound quality with continued use. .
The wired headphones have a 1.25m Y-shaped flexible cable. The audio jack is designed at a 90 degree angle to allow easy handling of the connected smartphone or tablet while gaming or watching movies. Redmi headphones have a 3.5mm jack for connectivity. The cable also has a button to pause / play music, receive / end phone calls, or activate the voice assistant on the phone by long pressing. The headphones also feature a built-in HD microphone for calls and audio recordings.
The company also launched the Redmi 9A smartphone today. It is priced at Rs. 6799 for the 2GB + 32GB storage variant and at Rs. 7,499 for the 3GB + 32GB model in India. Offered in three colors, the Redmi 9A will go on sale starting at 12 pm (noon) on September 4 via Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Home.
