The IT Ministry issued a press release on Wednesday to announce the latest ban on Chinese apps in the country. The statement said the ban was imposed after receiving “many complaints from various sources, including various reports about the misuse of some mobile applications available on the Android and iOS platforms to steal and surreptitiously transmit user data in an unauthorized manner. to servers that have locations outside of India. ” . “

“The Indian Cyber ​​Crimes Coordination Center of the Home Office has also issued a comprehensive recommendation to block these malicious applications. The ministry said it decided to block the use of the 118 apps and games using the “sovereign powers” of the central government. Although banned apps and games, including Alipay, Arena of Valor, Knives Out, PUBG Mobile, and PUBG Mobile Lite, are still available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play, Apple and Google are likely to offer these apps to users.
