According to a press release issued by NTA, the JEE Main exam will be conducted at 66 UP centers between September 1-6 in multiple shifts. A total of 1,00,706 students are expected to take the JEE exams at UP this year. In 2019, 85,898 students gave JEE at 47 centers in UP, according to NTA.

While the testing agency has claimed to have distributed the test centers throughout the state, the candidates’ parents say that those who live in cities and towns will find it easier to get to the test center compared to those who come from rural areas. .
Yashwant Singh, a JEE aspirant living in a village in Badaun, said: “I will have to travel more than 120 km to get to the test center. Traveling such a distance in these Covid times is particularly difficult as it exposes you to infections. On the other hand, students who live in towns and cities will have to travel a short distance to get to the exam center ”.
Several candidates also claimed that their preparations for the exam were affected due to the pandemic situation. They hope against hope that the exams will be postponed.
