Thiruvananthapuram: Totally depressed and outcast after failing to find a government job even after being named to the eligibility list, a 28-year-old graduate student named Anu commits suicide by hanging himself at home. The tragic incident took place during the early hours of the day in Thattittambalam, a small town on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram.

A suicide note found near his body mentioned that it was mental anguish and the inability to find a job that led him to take the extreme step. The suicide note read: “I’m sick of life, I can’t laugh and act in front of anyone. The reason for everything is that I am unemployed ”.
