JEE (Main), NEET, the two main entrance tests, conducted by the National Testing Agency, will be held in September. The Supreme Court had previously dismissed the request to postpone the entrance exams. Therefore, JEE (Mains) will take place between September 1 and 6, while NEET will take place on September 13.

The UGC had ruled that all final year exams must be taken before September 30. Many states oppose the decision and several states, including Delhi, Maharashtra, canceled senior exams. But UGC said states cannot make this decision not to take senior year exams. Since many students may not be able to take the exams due to reasons such as the flood situation in addition to the pandemic, UGC said they would be offered alternative exam dates later.

However, it is unclear whether UGC will allow the exams to take place in October.
