In the hours leading up to her death, Sushant Singh Rajput skipped meals, survived on juices, and mostly stayed in her room. This is what eyewitnesses have told the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in their opening statements, sources revealed.
The agency had summoned Sushant’s roommate Siddharth Pithani and his staff, Neeraj, Keshav and Deepesh Sawant, to question them about the actor’s death at his elegant Bandra residence on June 14. All four are being treated as key witnesses in the case. Help Neeraj has been questioned for more than eight days, Siddharth for more than seven days, the housekeeper Deepesh for more than five days and cooking Keshav for more than four days.
The CBI suspects that if Sushant was killed, these four people know about it. If it was a simulated suicide, then at least one of them was part of the conspiracy, and if it is a suicide, then they might be aware of the motive. On the morning of the dire day, Neeraj took Sushant’s dog for a walk and returned around 8 a.m. The actor had come out of his room and asked for ice water that Neeraj gave him. Sushant smiled and asked if everything was okay and if the hallway was clean. Neeraj replied in the affirmative and Sushant went to his room.
Neeraj said that the actor was a person of good character, who would not show his anger at anyone even if he was upset. Deepesh told investigators that on the night of June 13, Sushant refused dinner and only asked for a mango smoothie.
Deepesh went to sleep around 10.30pm and woke up around 5.30am. Around 6.30 am, she went to Sushant’s room and called; The door was open.
Deepesh discovered that Sushant was already up and sitting on his bed. Then he said “Good morning sir” to which the actor also greeted him. Deepesh asked if he should bring tea and breakfast, but Sushant refused again. Deepesh told CBI that he did not notice anything unusual or out of place. Sushant was alone in his room, the fan was on and some curtains on the windows were open.
Deepesh is the first to wake up among the Sushant staff. Both Neeraj and Keshav wake up around 7 am.
Neeraj said that around 9.30am, Keshav had juice, coconut water, and bananas for Sushant. But the late actor only had coconut juice and water. Around 10:30 in the morning, Keshav went back upstairs to ask Sushant if he wanted something and what should be cooked for lunch. But the actor did not respond to the door, which was locked from the inside.
Keshav’s statement to the CBI is similar, according to agency sources. He had said: “I gave Mr. Sushant pomegranate juice and coconut water around 9-9.15am. Around 10-10.30am, I went to his room again to ask him what to do for lunch. His door was locked. locked, which was unusual. “

Keshav, Deepesh and Siddharth, a creative art designer and friend of the late actor who was staying with him, then went upstairs and began knocking on Sushant’s door. They played for a long time, but there was no response.
Deepesh went back downstairs and reported to Neeraj, who then joined the others. Siddharth was even trying to reach him on the phone, but not even the calls were answered.
Neeraj told the CBI that they then began looking for a replacement key, but found none. Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh, who was also staying with them for a few days but was away at the time, told them to open the door somehow and she would be here soon. On Saturday, the CBI also wrote to the Mumbai police to provide a security escort for Rhea. The CBI, in its letter to Mumbai police, said that Rhea has been facing difficulties going to the DRDO guest house for questioning.
