The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday detected a tunnel near the India-Pakistan International Border (IB) in the Samba district of Jammu province.
Reports say the tunnel has been detected in the Bangalad area of the Samba district.
Senior officers from the Border Security Force (BSF) have arrived on the scene and are overseeing the search operation.
Although there is no official statement, the tunnel, some 50 meters from the border fence on the Indian side, was detected by a patrol in the Samba sector of Jammu.
Sources said the tunnel is about 25 feet deep at the opening and the border force has launched a search operation along the IB in the entire border belt of Samba, Kathua and the Jammu district.
For the past few years, Pakistan has been adopting the tunnel strategy to push terrorists into Jammu.
Since 2012, BSF has detected up to seven such tunnels in the IB.
Today’s are the seven tunnels found on the border since July 2012, exposing Pakistan’s sinister game plan of trying to push the ultras into J&K to organize terrorist attacks.
