Community Shield 2020 Highlights: In the traditional national soccer match, Arsenal beat Liverpool 5-4 on penalties to win the Community Shield on Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London.

Arsenal started brilliantly after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gave Arsenal the lead in the 12th minute after a quick counterattack by Bukayo Saka. Mikel Arteta’s team dominated the first half, but Liverpool held firm. In the second half, the tables turned when Liverpool locked Arsenal in their own box for most of 45 minutes. Substitute Takumi Minamino leveled in the 73rd minute after a clever set-up move with Mohamed Salah. The match ended 1-1 in the full 90 minutes.

On penalties, Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster smashed the top of the bar and missed the only penalty on the penalty shoot-out. Arsenal captain Aubameyang sealed the deal with his winning penalty against Alisson to help Arsenal win one of the first titles of the season.
