Mumbai: Rhea Chakraborty, who is accused of instigating the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, admitted to participating in the ‘drug talks’ during questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the sources said.

The Office of Narcotics Control began investigating the angle of drugs in the death of Sushant Sing Rajput after the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) found some chats in which Rhea was talking about drugs and prohibited substances while checking her WhatsApp chats .
In addition to Rhea, NCB had filed a complaint against Gaurav Arya, Showik Chakraborty and Jaya Shah in the drug case. The NCB team will likely summon Rhea Chakraborty to get details on her drug talks. The NCB received these details from ED’s chat when the investigative agency seized her mobile phone and downloaded it digitally.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have said they will provide protection for Rhea Chakraborty whenever she travels from her residence to the DRDO guest house. “This is being done at the request of the Central Bureau of Investigation,” an official said.
Rhea Chakraborty to join CBI investigation shortly
The CBI is likely to question the first defendant in the case, Rhea Chakraborty, today for the second round of questioning. On Friday, the CBI had questioned Rhea for more than ten hours.
In the morning, Chakraborty, the Rajput’s girlfriend, arrived at the boarding house where the CBI team is stationed at 10.40. Before their arrival, Rajput’s roommate Siddharth Pithani and manager Samual Miranda had arrived at the DRDO guesthouse.
The actress was reportedly questioned by a central agency police superintendent about various aspects of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, the official said.
