Devendra Fadnavis answers a question about Aaditya Thackeray

Sushant Rajput Death Case: Devendra Fadnavis Answers Question About Aaditya Thackeray

Sushant Rajput case: “No BJP leader has taken the name of Aaditya Thackeray,” Fadnavis said.

Pune:

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has said that no BJP leader “directly or indirectly” took the name of Minister of State Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Speaking to reporters in Pune on the sidelines of the opening of a COVID-19 hospital in the city, Fadnavis said surprising revelations are emerging in the case.

Sushant Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai ‘s Bandra on June 14. The CBI has recently taken over the investigation of the case.

When asked, Fadnavis said: “No BJP leader has taken the name of Aaditya Thackeray directly or indirectly (in the case of Sushant Rajput). The kind of revelations that are emerging in the case, I think they are surprising.”

The opposition leader in the Maharashtra Assembly wondered why all these revelations did not come to light before the IWC took over the investigation.

“After 40 days (of the incident), the IWC took over the investigation. What if the evidence was destroyed during these 40 days? I have come to know through media reports that eight hard drives were destroyed “said Fadnavis.

“After seeing these things, the question arises whether the Maharashtra police were under any political pressure during the investigation,” he said.

“I am sure that the IWC will bring out the truth. The only thing is that if the truth had been investigated earlier, I believe that the evidence would not have been destroyed and we would have known the culprit,” he said.

Shiv Sena’s leader, Sanjay Raut, had recently alleged a conspiracy to link Yuva Sena’s president, Aaditya Thackeray, to the actor’s death case.

Although Raut did not take any names, he said that the Opposition cannot digest the fact that the government led by the Seine is in power in the state.

Aaditya Thackeray, son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, had also clarified that he was nowhere connected to the actor’s death case, and that he and his family were being attacked for no reason.

Congressional Leader Sachin Sawant tweeted a photo of Devendra Fadnavis with film producer Sandeep Singh, whose name is reportedly in the investigation. Mr. Sawant sought an investigation into the “BJP angle” in the case.

When asked about the tweet, Fadnavis said: “Sawant is in the government. So why did the Mumbai police keep all the suspects away? Why weren’t they questioned?”

“Why from day one was it called suicide?” I ask.

In the photo, Mr. Fadnavis said that he could have been present at some program, where Sandeep Singh was also present.

“But the same person was a director or producer of a film about Balasaheb Thackeray,” he said.

“It shows that Sachin Sawant isn’t doing his homework. He’s saying all these things out of frustration,” he said.

Mr. Sawant in his tweet said, “@OfficeofUT, @AnilDeshmukhNCP asks you to see @ BJP4India’s angle in the following request. CBI will contact Mr. Sandeep Singh at the drug nexus at #SushantSinghRajputDeathCase.”
