In a sign that India may be ready to start international flights soon, the Ministry of Health on Sunday published guidelines for international travelers which include a “mandatory quarantine for 14 days” to arrive. Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, had said last week that the aim was to start international flights before August.
Guidelines were also issued for domestic flights — by bus, train or plane.
While Puri had on Saturday, said domestic air passengers on domestic flights are set to resume operations on Monday – you do not have to undergo quarantine as long as they have the Aarogya respective eras, the implementation of the guidelines for international travel to say, “Before boarding, all travellers will give an undertaking that they would submit to mandatory quarantine for 14 days — 7 days paid institutional quarantine at its own cost, followed by 7 days of isolation at home with the self-monitoring of health. Only for exceptional and compelling reasons, such as the cases of human anxiety, pregnancy, death of a family member, serious illness and the parent(s) accompanied by children under the age of 10 years, according to the evaluation of host countries, home quarantine may be allowed for 14 days. Use of Aarogya respective eras application will be mandatory in these cases.”
In spite of the quarantine regulations have been spelled out, the guidelines go on to say the states can up with your own protocol for the quarantine and isolation “as in its evaluation.”
The previous, pre-lockout guidelines for those flying from abroad mentioned institutional quarantine for 14 days, not in home quarantine.
The guidelines for the international travelers who said that only those who are asymptomatic will be allowed to board their flights, after eliminating thermal detection. On his arrival in India, if you are considered patients, is put to the test and are sent to the designated hospitals.

“The States/UTs shall ensure that all passengers must undergo thermal screening at the starting point of asymptomatic and only passengers are allowed to board the flight/train/bus. During the boarding and travel, all passengers must wear covers the face/mask. We will also follow the hand hygiene, respiratory hygiene and maintain environmental hygiene. At the airports/railway stations and bus terminals required measures to ensure social distancing are taken. Airports/railway stations and bus terminals must be regularly sanitized and disinfected and the availability of soap and disinfectants must be ensured. Thermal screening at the point of departure will be organized”, the guidelines say.
The guidelines do not mention mandatory quarantine unlike international travelers – say that the states may develop their own protocol on quarantine and isolation as for their evaluation.
The total number of cases in the country rose to 1,31,868, with 6,767 fresh cases added in the last 24 hours. The Covid of toll until the time is 3,667, with 147 deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 54,440 people have been recovered so far, 2,657 of them in the last 24 hours.
