The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is likely to announce the new dates for the 2020 Civil Services Preliminary Exam on Wednesday, May 20. UPSC’s preliminary review had to be deferred due to the outbreak of coronavirus disease in the country. According to the original schedule, the preliminary review by Civil Services would take place on May 31.
Candidates who have applied for the Preliminary Civil Service Exam can check the new dates, after they are posted, on the UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in.
“The preliminary examination for Civil Services -2020, scheduled for May 31, has been postponed. The decision on the new test date will be available on May 20 after evaluating the situation, “said a notification issued May 4 by UPSC.
The Civil Services Preliminary Exam is one of the most coveted exams in India which attracts almost seven lakh candidates on average every year. This year, 10 lakh applicants have registered for the exam.
