With Haryana Roadways resuming operations, nine of its buses will begin running on select routes within the state from the Panchkula Bus Station starting tomorrow.
According to the Haryana government, these buses will leave the bus stop for cities such as Rohtak, Karnal, Narnaul, Ambala, Rewari, Hisar, Sirsa and Bhiwani between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. For this, passengers have to book a ticket online through the portal hartrans.gov.in. Online reservation can also be made on the spot, depending on seat availability. Ravinder Pathak, general manager of Haryana Roadways, Panchkula, said:
“All buses have been properly disinfected and seats marked to maintain social distance. A maximum of 30 passengers will be allowed on board before the thermal evaluation. The use of masks will be mandatory. Buses that pass through Covid-affected districts will go through a detour or overpasses. ”
“Buses will operate from state transportation stops to scheduled bus stops. Passengers will not be allowed to get on or off the bus on the trip, ”said Pathak.
PPE kits for drivers
“Drivers will wear PPE kits while traveling, while drivers will be provided with safety equipment such as face masks and disinfectants,” he said. Pathak said more buses could be introduced in the coming days on major routes like Ambala and Karnal, depending on passenger demand.
