Indian Railways allows train tickets on the waiting list on special trains! Given the demand for seats, Indian Railways will allow limited tickets on the waiting list on special passenger trains. - Maximum waiting list limit for the first CA: 20
- Maximum waiting list limit for business class: 20
- Maximum waiting list limit for AC-2 level: 50
- Maximum waiting list limit for 3-tier AC: 100
- Car Seat Wait List Limit: 100
- Maximum waiting list limit for Sleeper: 200
There will be no provision for Reserve Against Cancellation (RAC) tickets. These new waiting list ticket limits will take effect for special trains beginning May 22, for which reservations will be open beginning May 15. Indian Railways will not allow any tatkal and premium tatkal fees on these special passenger trains. The refund rules for ticket cancellation are: 50% within 24 hours after the train departs.
Indian Railways partially resumed passenger train operations beginning May 12 with 15 pairs of trains traveling to and from the New Delhi railway station. These special Rajdhani Express style passenger trains will run from New Delhi to Bilaspur, Central Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Ahmedabad, Dibrugarh, Ranchi, Howrah, Bhubaneswar, Jammu Tawi, Secunderabad, Patna, Agartala and vice versa.
