BMC plans to provide immunity boosters to those residing in red containment zones in Mumbai

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Wednesday he said that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to distribute immunity booster tablets to everyone residing in containment zones and red zones in Mumbai.

“We have begun conducting house-to-house checks and quarantining people to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the containment and red zones. We have also begun to give Arsenic Album 30 tablets for everyone who lives in these areas, “Pednekar told reporters.

She said that the AYUSH Ministry has also advised Arsenicum Album 30 as an immunity booster.

“It will increase the immunity of people who are unable to fight the virus on their own. This drug is currently distributed free of charge, but it will soon be available in medical stores as demand increases,” Pednekar said.

“We have increased the number of our staff working in these areas to stop the spread of crown infection. We will also disinfect public toilets in slum areas,” he added.

Pednekar said the BMC is taking every precaution, adding that people must strictly follow the guidelines to keep COVID-19 at bay.

According to BMC officials, a total of 14,947 coronavirus Positive cases have been reported in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation area such as Wednesday morning.
