Delhi police are considering organizing a bus service for rail passengers who will arrive in the national capital and will require public transport, Harendra K Singh, Deputy Commissioner for Police (Railways) told ANI news agency.
“For those who arrive in Delhi on special trains and rely on public transport, we are considering providing buses,” Singh said.
This occurs a day after the Delhi government issued guidelines for rail passengers arriving in the national capital when 15 special trains resumed operations amid the coronavirus blockade on Tuesday.

In its standard operating procedures (SOPs), the Delhi government said that passengers arriving in Delhi by train will not be required to be quarantined if they are asymptomatic for Covid-19. Such releases “may return home” and they will be asked to download the Aarogya Setu app if possible, according to the release.
According to the circular, those mild symptoms will be reported on the “Home or Home Quarantine Protocol” and they will be instructed to undergo personal isolation or home quarantine.
The standard sampling, testing and quarantine protocol will apply to those who are symptomatic, the POE said. An adequate number of medical equipment should be placed at the railway station, he added.
“The Ministry of Railways will ensure that all people who board the train are compulsorily examined and only asymptomatic people will be able to board the train. At the railway station, the maintenance of order and the rules of social distancing will be the responsibility of Indian Railways, ”the guidelines read.
