United States President Donald Trump is famous for losing his temper from time to time and on Monday (May 11) he did it again when he abruptly ended his briefing on the coronavirus after getting into a dispute with an Asian journalist -American.

CBS News reporter Weijia Jiang asked Trump why he kept saying that the United States was doing much better than other countries when it came to evaluating patients with coronavirus.
“Why does it matter?” she asked. “Why is it a global competition when, every day, Americans continue to lose their lives?”

“They are losing their lives in all parts of the world,” Trump replied. “And maybe that’s a question you should ask China. Don’t ask me, ask China that question, okay?”

Jiang, who calls herself in her Twitter bio as a “Chinese-born western virgin,” rejected.

“Sir, why are you telling me that specifically?” she said, implying that President Trump was attacking her because of her race.

“I tell anyone who asks an unpleasant question like that,” Trump said.

President Trump tried to end the issue by turning to another journalist, but Jiang kept searching for his answer.

Trump called another journalist but then called someone else.

When the woman tried to ask her question, Trump abruptly ended the briefing and entered the White House.

The internet rushed to join Jiang, with the hashtag #StandWithWeijiaJiang soon trending on Twitter.

It should be noted that Trump has openly expressed his disgust at the media and has often argued heatedly with journalists during his coronavirus briefings.

In particular, the United States has lost more than 80,000 lives to the coronavirus pandemic, of more than 1.3 million cases, according to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University on Monday.
