Hyderabad Civic officials in Greater Hyderabad are baffled by the sudden surge in coronavirus numbers in the city in recent days, with just Monday producing 79 cases. Sources from the city’s civic authority say the crisis could be due to shrinking containment zones and the resulting mix of people as a result of that.
According to highly-located sources at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), there have been worrying signs for more than a week that Covid-19 cases were ready to grow in the city.
