Jaipur: Rajasthan became the first state to allow free movement of people within the state between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., except in the containment zones, as states began relaxing the rules a week before the third phase of the federal shutdown approached its scheduled end on May 17.

“A pass will not be required for movement of people between districts and within the district between 7 am and 7 pm, except in areas under curfew,” Prime Minister Ashok Gehlot announced after a meeting with lawmakers and members of the Parliament.

Gehlot authorized the district and subordinate officials to issue passes for people to travel by bus or train to other states and containment areas. Previously, the state’s home department had this power. The new travel guide also made a 14-day quarantine mandatory for anyone entering the state. The guidelines also allowed district officials to give permission to manage industries.

While the Telangana government has extended the shutdown until May 29, it has provided additional relaxations to private companies and industries located in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area, a red light district. Operations resumed on Monday.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjannar told industry owners that they were allowed to use 33% of the labor gradually. “And this 33% of the force is in all shifts, including critical operations, during night hours, contracted personnel, etc.,” he said.

In Gujarat, the government decided to make the delivery of essential goods to his home cashless starting May 15, the first state to do so. “As part of the post-closure preparedness strategy, all retail and home delivery agencies have been asked to obtain a 100% staff evaluation. Those who evaluate their personnel could execute their operations without any problem, ”said an official order.

The order also said that just to be very cautious about the spread of the pandemic through the tickets, it has become mandatory to accept the digital payment mode through the unified payment interface and other platforms since May 15. So far Gujarat has almost 7,000 Covid -19 positive cases.

In Uttarakhand, the government has allowed stores to operate between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., three more hours from this week. Government spokesman and minister Madan Kaushik said: “We have increased the store opening time limit from 7am to 4pm in the state and more industries have been allowed to start operating.”

However, Kerala, which has seen a new outbreak of cases with returning expats, has decided not to relax for now. With the resumption of train services, more cases are expected. Last Sunday he observed a complete shutdown, a symbolic move to strengthen his continued fight against the virus.

In Rajasthan, the majority of MPs and MLA welcomed the Prime Minister’s decision to bring stranded workers home. Lawmakers suggested that additional trains and buses be arranged for them. They asked to simplify the approval process, organize the institutional quarantine for people who come from other places to the village school or to the panchayat building and add the names of the new workers to the MGNREGA list.

Faced with demand from parliamentarians and the MLA to remove the farmers’ welfare fee on purchases in agricultural markets, Gehlot said the fee has not been imposed on farmers but on merchants. The meeting was attended by the speaker, Dr. CP Joshi, the former CM, Vasundhara Raje, the opposition leader, Gulabchand Kataria, the opposition deputy director, Rajendra Rathore, and the former Union minister, PP Chaudhary.
