As India recorded a record jump of 4,213 cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the government said on Monday that some relatively large outbreaks have been noted in particular locations and that it is important to focus on containment efforts to ensure that the country does not arrive The stage of community transmission.

Agarwal said 4,213 cases of COVID-19 and 97 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours through Monday at 8 a.m., bringing the total number of cases to 67,152 and the number of deaths to 2,206.
As many as 20,917 COVID-19 patients have been cured so far, bringing the recovery rate to 31.15 percent. In addition, 1,559 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, the highest number of recoveries recorded in one day.
Ajay Sawhney, president of Empowered Group 9, which deals with technology and data management, said the mobile app has been developed to alert people before they come into contact with infected patients and alert the health system to to take the appropriate measures for your help.
The Aarogya Setu mobile app has contributed significantly to India’s fight against COVID-19, he said, adding that the app has been designed with people’s privacy in mind. About 9.8 million people have downloaded the Aarogya Setu app and it is available in 12 languages, Sawhney said.
Information on 697 potential COVID-19 hotspots was generated through the Aarogya Setu app, he said, stating that the app is safe, used only for health interventions, and does not reveal people’s identity.
Around 1.4 lakh users of the Aarogya Setu app have been alerted via bluetooth contact tracking of the possible risk of infection due to proximity to infected patients, Sawhney said. The Aarogya Setu app will soon reach a user base of Rs 10 million and has set a world record for being the fastest app to reach five Rs million users, he said.
When asked about certain media reports that the government is analyzing the mapping of religion-based hotspots, Agarwal said it is very irresponsible, unfounded and incorrect news.
The spread of COVID-19 has nothing to do with race, religion, area and is spread due to lack of precautions, he said.
Agarwal said that people who have symptoms of COVID-19 should not hide them and file a report so that they do not pass the infection on to others.
