WhatsApp Web will soon receive support for Messenger Rooms that will aim to take over other video call platforms such as Google Duo and Google Hangout, Skype and Zoom. This occurs during coronavirus blocking when more people trust video calling platforms. The Facebook announcement to introduce Messenger Rooms was previously made by Mark Zuckerberg via Facebook Live. The feature has yet to be implemented in India.
Recently, Facebook-owned WhatsApp extended the WhatsApp group call limit to eight. Now, Messenger Rooms will be compatible with WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger in a first sign of integration of the platforms. The suggested idea behind the move was to offer a seamless experience to users of all Facebook applications.
According to the WABetaInfo blog, Messenger Room support for WhatsApp Web is available for version 2.2019.6. Reportedly, there is a shortcut for Messenger Rooms in the latest version of WhatsApp for Web, clicking on which users can start video calls in Messenger Rooms from WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

How do the messaging rooms work?

How can you use and create Messenger Rooms?
The host initiates the call and is the only one who can add people to the call. The main shortcut for creating a Messenger room will be visible in the chat action list, which is located in the upper right corner of the chat screen.
Once the user touches the shortcut, another screen will open with the introduction to Messenger Rooms in the web version along with the option “Continue in Messenger” to make the video call.
The option to create a room can also be seen in the main menu of the desktop version. It will be visible on the down arrow button just above the chats.
If the user decides to create a room, WhatsApp will ask him if he wants to be redirected to Messenger.
The host will create a room by clicking the video icon on Facebook Messenger and share the room link with people to join.
