India reported 3,277 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and an additional 128 deaths, bringing the total to 62,939 and 2,109 deaths on Sunday.

During this period, 1,511 patients were discharged after treatment, bringing the total recovery rate to 30.76%, according to data published by the Union Ministry of Health.
The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) said a total of 16.09,037 samples have been analyzed so far.
The data published by the Ministry indicated that in 10 States / Territories of the Union no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours.
State health departments reported a total of 66,918 positive cases across the country, with 43,888 active cases. The death toll was 2,200.

West Bengal reported 14 more deaths, bringing the number of victims in the state to 113. Of the 14 deaths, only Kolkata accounted for 10. The State also reported 153 new cases, the highest in one day so far.
Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with senior ministers on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba chaired a video conference with senior secretaries and health secretaries from all states and territories in the Union to review the state of the COVID-19 management.
Mr. Gauba noted that the railways have transported more than 350 Shramik special trains carrying 3.5 lakh of migrant workers and requested state governments to cooperate with the railways in the operation of more such trains.

The chief secretaries said that while protection of people infected with COVID-19 is required, economic activities should also be intensified in a calibrated manner, according to a government statement.

The Minister spoke to journalists after inspecting a COVID-19 call center in the Mandoli area of the national capital.
The Ministry of Health also said that the acquisition of a high-performance machine according to the recommendations of Empowered Group-2 has been approved for the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
He added that the Cobas-6800 test machine has been successfully installed on the NCDC.

“The NCDC is providing testing support for samples from Delhi- NCR, Ladakh, J&K and various other states as needed. Currently, the testing capacity at NCDC is approximately 300-350 tests per day. With the Cobas 6800, which is a high performance machine with the ability to analyze around 1,200 samples in 24 hours, the testing capacity for COVID-19 at NCDC has been significantly improved, “a statement said.
The Ministry of Health has now directed all States / UTs to upload all three types of COVID-dedicated facilities on their websites for public information. 32 States / UT have already uploaded the information to their websites / public information platforms and the rest are in the process of doing the same.
“So far, 7,740 facilities have been identified in 483 districts in all states / UTs that include hospitals and facilities from state / UT governments as well as the central government.
