As the national coronavirus 3.0 blockade will end on May 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to interact with the prime ministers of all Union states and territories through a video conference on Monday (May 11) at 3 pm, the Prime Minister’s Office said Sunday.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold the fifth meeting via video conference with the state’s chief ministers tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm,” the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a tweet.

During interaction with top ministers, Prime Minister Modi is expected to review the progress made by different states in containing the coronavirus disease COVID-19 while gradually restarting economic activities.
The prime minister can also discuss the next stage in getting out of the national blockade and will receive comments from states on the reduction of restrictions on economic activities. Discussions are also expected on how to address the coronavirus pandemic in containment areas.
In addition to Prime Minister Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, along with other top officials, are expected to attend the such an important meeting.
This will be Prime Minister Modi’s fifth meeting with senior ministers since the outbreak of the new coronavirus in India.
On May 10, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country increased to 62,939, while deaths increased to 2,109.
On March 24, the Prime Minister had announced a 21-day blockade as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19. The blockade was later extended until May 3 and later until May 17.
