SRINAGAR: PoK based Hizbul Mujahideen boss Syed Sallahuddin has said that Pakistan’s “weak policies” have given India the advantage cashmere, his comment came just days after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan called India’s response to Handwara terrorist attack an indication of “continued efforts to find a pretext for a Fake flag operation targeting Pakistan. ”
A video purportedly filmed during a condolence meeting for the murdered Hizbul commander, Riyaz Naikoo, shows Sallahuddin claiming responsibility for the May 3 shooting in Handwara in northern Kashmir, in which a colonel and a commander were between all six security personnel killed in action. The ANI news agency tweeted the video on Saturday.
Hizbul Mujahideen nominated on Sunday Gazi Haider, aka “Dr. Saifullah”, as the team’s new operational commander in Kashmir. He is listed as a Category A ++ terrorist in intelligence and police reports.
Naikoo, a former math teacher who had joined the team in 2012, was the longest serving commander in the Valley. He was chased by security forces along with an aide in his hometown of Beighpora, Pulwama district, last Wednesday. Naikoo had a reward of Rs 12 lakh on his head.
On the same day, the Prime Minister of Pakistan tweeted: “I have been warning the world about India’s continued efforts to find a pretext for a false flag operation targeting Pakistan. The latest unfounded accusations by India of ‘infiltration’ at LOC they are a continuation of this dangerous agenda. ”
