Delhi Government Master in Ration Distribution Service Dies Due to COVID-19

The Delhi government said Sunday that a teacher, assigned to the ration distribution service during the confinement, died of the coronavirus amid the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the national capital.

“A delegate teacher in the ration distribution service in the North Delhi area passed away due to # COVID19,” said an official.

The teacher tested positive for the Coronavirus novel on Saturday, PTI said.

It was published at a primary school in Wazirabad under the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, the news agency said.

The last time he attended school was April 28, and he began showing symptoms of COVID-19 beginning May 2. His test report came on Friday, said an official with the North Delhi Municipal Corporation.

Meanwhile, the total number of cases in Delhi is 6,923, according to the latest data provided by the government.

The death toll in the national capital is 74, while the number of active cases is 4,781.
