He also said that factories must ensure 24-hour disinfection, especially in common areas that include common dining rooms and tables that will need to be cleaned with disinfectants after each use.
For housing, disinfection must be carried out regularly to ensure worker safety and reduce the spread of contamination, according to the guideline.
The order was sent to all the state’s top secretaries after a gas leak at the LG Polymers plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, in which 11 people died.
The gas leak occurred before dawn and affected villages near the factory. Approximately 1,000 people were admitted to hospitals with respiratory difficulties.
