Congressman Rahul Gandhi appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday to work with top ministers as a colleague.

“In the Congress party, we have been having discussions internally. We are now on a lock for 45 days and we are starting to have a little problem. There is a feeling that we need to get this package for small and medium-sized businesses right away, help migrants and get out of the blockade.
“These suggestions are in the spirit of helping the government. The central government needs to give a sense of transparency about its plan or action. The government needs to tell people that these are the criteria that must be set and then this is what we will do.
“This is not the time to criticize and I will not. We need to get out of the situation we are in now. If you ask any company, they tell us our supply lines that run in red, orange and green. But there is a problem there. We need to restore these chains.
“I would urge the Prime Minister to treat States and district magistrates [DMs] to treat as partners. We have been talking about cash transfers. Migrants need the money now. There are pushes and pulls regarding migrant workers. Start implementing NYAY and place it in 50% of homes. It won’t cost much.
“PM Modi has a style and he is fine. But in such a situation, I would like many strong CM, strong DM and strong PM to work together. For example, these areas of red, green, and orange. Our CMs say that what they think is green has been marked red by the Center. So there is a mismatch between what the States think and the brands of the Center ”.
Senior congress ministers have said they do not receive funds from the Center, he added.
In a video conference on May 6, the top ministers of party-ruled states accused the Union government of making decisions without consulting states and not providing them with sufficient funds to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
