As first reported by the TOI on Wednesday, the exams will take place in the first two weeks of July, before the JEE (main) and NEET-UG scheduled later in the month. Resting on all speculation, DRH union minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said: “The pending CBSE exams will take place from July 1 to 15, 2020. Students have enough time to review and perform well.”
Previously, on April 1, 2020, CBSE announced that it will conduct exams for only 29 core subjects out of the 41 pending Class X and XII Board exams. CBSE in its statement also said it will issue instructions for grading and evaluating the other postponed subjects for which there will be no further exams.
CBSE was unable to conduct tests on eight test days due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation after March 18. In addition, due to the law and order situation in the North East Delhi district, the board was unable to conduct exams on four exam days, while a very small number of students from and around this district were unable to appear in exams in six exam days.
Class X subjects for Northeast Delhi include Hindi A course, Hindi B course, English communication, English language and literature, science and social science. Class XII subjects for Northeast Delhi include Elective -N, Elective -C, Basic English, Mathematics, Economics, Biology, Political Science, History, Physics, Accounting, Chemistry. Class XII subjects for all of India are business studies, geography, Hindi (elective), Hindi (core), home science, sociology, computer science (old), computer science (new), information practice (old) , information practice (new), Information technology, Biotechnology.
